Use several times a day?
If you want to use the hōki breathing techniques preventively, we recommend establishing a routine with the hōki:
Take 5 minutes in the morning and evening to practice breathing with the hōki.
Does the hōki make a noise?
Thanks to the special coating inside the hōki, noise is reduced to an absolute minimum.
You can only hear the hōki if you focus intensely and your surroundings are completely silent.
We measured no more than 30 dB, which is quieter than a whisper.
How do I bring the hōki to my mouth?
The hōki is designed so that the slanted side faces upward. The "hōki" lettering should face up, while the Japanese engraving faces down.
This means the longer side (with the Japanese engraving) rests against your lower lip, and the shorter side (with the "hōki" lettering) rests against your upper lip.
How do I clean the hōki properly?
Here’s the best way to clean your hōki:
Before the first use, we recommend rinsing the hōki with water and using the included brush to clean the inside.
Every hōki is made from 316F medical-grade stainless steel. Even if you use your hōki every 10 minutes, there’s no need to worry about over-disinfecting or frequent cleaning.
If you still want to clean it, simply rinse your hōki with water and dry it with a microfiber cloth.
